Silently now I wait for Thee

Ready my God Thy will to see . . .

(Open My Eyes That I May See - Clara  H. Scott)

If I’m quiet

And I give my words a rest

You hear my heart

Considering each of my requests

As I’m silently reflecting

Having cast aside my cares

The peace that settles on me

Sent by a breeze through heaven’s air

Early will I seek You

As I run out of time

Settled in eternity

Grafted to the Vine

Where a day is as a thousand years

And a thousand years a day

Where You’re honored more by gratitude

Than ten thousand words could say

Silence over eloquence

You hear when I don’t even speak

Let the whole world keep silent before you

Let me be the worshiper You seek
