Our Turn

All living things will wither and die
At least all we've seen before our eyes
Grass and flowers, days and hours
Youth and beauty, strength and power
Everything that's ever been within our sight
Sprouts wings then disappears in flight
Yet the faithful heart with hope concealed
Waits patiently for what is to be revealed
Lives expectantly on claims staked sight unseen
Led by the hand of One who's always been
Walking with certainty in eternity toward the day
Old things are left behind, our turn has come to fly away
"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NAS)
