We’ll all see - eventually
At the end of history
Through all eternity
Living in God’s family
Each brother, each sister complete
The ones we’ve known, the ones we’ll meet
Not one here by chance or accident
Or by meeting ungodly requirements
The absolute best heaven had to offer
Traded for the poorest paupers
The vile and wretched, the most despised
The strength of his joy, the glorious prize
Welcomed with a shower of grace
No one feeling out of place
Shame exchanged for true humility
Blind eyes opened now clearly see
Held securely in his hand
Even though we wait to fully understand
Each faithful step brings us one step nearer
On an unseen road, a path made clearer
Once we’re here, we’re here to stay
Not a single soul will be snatched away
Watched over by the holy One, the only One
Who called us here to find our home
By this act of Christ alone
He reigns forever from the throne
Over a kingdom with no end
Every nation, tribe and tongue bows to him
The elect of God, whose hope keeps rising
Each glimpse we catch is more surprising
Now we know in part - but don’t forget
Though we walk in the light -we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
“No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, no mind conceived,
What God has prepared for those who love him.”
(Isaiah 64:4 and 1 Corinthians 2:9)
