A Woman of God

Her voice - saturated with the tone
that rises to the surface
out of a heart that's been broken, humbled
painfully, certainly
joyfully, faithfully
Her words - no longer spoken to prove
but as proof
not shouted, simply spoken
at the speed of light
at the volume of truth
Her heart - knows her shepherd's voice
and he knows hers
a fragrant conversation
in harmony
with still waters
