No Trespassing!

No one can take away my heart of stone
It’s all mine, it’s mine alone
It’s cold and real, able to conceal
My pain, my anger, everything real
From the outside it looks like a cold brick wall
Look on the inside you won’t see me at all
It’s hard to live as just flesh and bone
And change a broken heart to unbroken stone
Loneliness still throbs in pain
Wounds that should have healed by now still remain
But I can ignore the pain of being alone
If I hide inside my heart of stone
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Ezekiel 36:25-26
