A Bride's Made

There was no apparent beauty to lose
Protected, undetected - hidden from view
A flower was forming as a sleepy seed grew
The cold ground was warming but nobody knew
As gray as a season with no sign of spring
Nothing to notice, or so it would seem
A glimmer like lightning escaped from her eyes
Hinting that something was deeply alive
No thirst for attention, no self-centered pleas
Not even a whisper from this confident seed
Completely aware that she’s never alone
Cared for and watched over ’til the flower has grown
Loved, fed and watered with the Father’s pure care
This flower, like a daughter, lovely and fair
The perfect work of patience, all things made new
By the hand of the Creator who careth for you

(James 1:4, Revelation 21:5, 1 Peter 5:7)
